Cookie Policy
Last updated: February 24, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Business Automatica GmbH (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the eInvoice Converter website and application (“Service”).
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further details on how we process personal data.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide information to the site operators.
Similar technologies include:
- Local Storage: A browser feature that allows websites to store data locally on your device with no expiration date (persists until explicitly cleared).
- Session Storage: Similar to local storage, but data is cleared when you close the browser tab or window.
2. Legal Basis
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by:
- Section 25 TDDDG: Requires explicit prior consent for all cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary.
- GDPR Article 6(1)(f): For strictly necessary cookies, processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing a functional, secure service.
- GDPR Article 6(1)(a): For any non-essential cookies, processing is based on your explicit consent.
Strictly necessary cookies do NOT require your consent under Section 25(2) TDDDG, as they are essential for the Service to function as you have requested.
3. Cookies and Technologies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary (Essential)
These are required for the Service to function. Without them, core features like logging in would not work. These cannot be disabled.

3.2 Error Monitoring (Conditionally Active)
These technologies help us detect and fix errors. They are only active if configured in our deployment environment.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sentry error tracking | Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) | Captures error reports and performance traces when errors occur. Collects: error messages, stack traces, browser/OS information, page URL. Sampling rate: 10% in production. See Sentry's privacy policy. | JavaScript SDK | Session |
3.3 Analytics — Not Currently Used
We do NOT currently use any analytics, marketing, advertising, or behavioral tracking cookies or technologies. If we introduce such technologies in the future, this Cookie Policy will be updated, and we will obtain your explicit consent before activating them.
3.4 Third-Party Payment Cookies
When you interact with our payment processing (e.g., managing your subscription), you may be redirected to the payment provider's domain, where the provider may set its own cookies:
- Stripe: stripe.com/privacy
- Mollie: mollie.com/privacy
4. How to Manage Cookies and Similar Technologies
4.1 Cookie Consent
Since our Service currently uses only strictly necessary cookies and technologies, no consent banner is displayed. Should we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism.
4.2 Browser Settings
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly.
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies
4.3 Local Storage and Session Storage
Browser-stored data can be managed through your browser's developer tools or by clearing your browser data for our domain.
4.4 Do Not Track (DNT)
Since we do not currently use any tracking or analytics technologies, the DNT signal has no practical effect on our Service.
5. Data Transfers
Sentry error monitoring (when active) may involve the transfer of error data to servers outside the EEA, safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For details on authentication-related data transfers, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where required, requesting renewed consent for newly introduced non-essential cookies.
